Dr. Zhen is an associate professor in the Department of Geographic Information Science at the College of Geoexploration Science and Technology, Jilin University, specializing in three-dimensional vegetation modeling and radiative transfer simulation. He previously served as a postdoctoral researcher at Toulouse University in France.
Dr. Zhen has published more than twenty SCI-indexed papers in journals such as Remote Sensing of Environment, ISPRS Journal of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing, among others. He has chaired one National Natural Science Foundation Youth C project.
Currently, he also serves as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Jilin Province Remote Sensing Society and is a guest editor of Remote Sensing. He acts as a reviewer for more than twenty SCI journals, including Remote Sensing of Environment, ISPRS Journal of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, and IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing.
