宁甲甲教授主要从事量子点材料和其发光物理的研究，本科毕业于吉林大学材料物理系，2010年12月获得材料物理与化学专业的博士学位，师从邹勃教授，而后先后在大连化学物理研究所，以色列耶路撒冷希伯来大学和香港城市大学从事研究工作，先后师从国际著名纳米化学家Uri Banin教授和Andrey L. Rogach教授，在量子点的合成化学和发光物理上有丰富的研究经验。
