Profile:

Dr. Wei-Wei Liao was born in Xinjiang province, China, obtained his B.S. degree in chemistry in 1999 from Northwest University, China. He completed his Ph.D. studies at Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry (SIOC), Chinese Academy of Sciences, working under the supervision of Prof. Yong Tang. After briefly working as a postdoctoral fellow at Stockholm University, one year at Universitaet Heidelberg (Research Scholarship of Alexander von Humboldt foundation), and three years at Princeton University, he started his independent academic career as an associate professor in 2010 at College of Chemistry, Jilin University. His current research interests include the development of new catalytic processes (new concepts and reaction design) and asymmetric reactions.
