I. Rational Structural Design and Synthesis of Covalent Organic Frameworks

Based on the concepts of reticular chemistry and dynamic covalent chemistry, we have designed and synthesized interesting monomers and further built covalent organic frameworks with novel structures. Developing new structures of covalent organic frameworks is our long-term research direction.



II. Functional Regulation of Covalent Organic Frameworks

With large surface areas, developed channels, and highly designable structure, COFs were perfect application platforms. Our group prepared various functional COFs, especially three-dimensional COFs, for applications such as gas storage and separation, heterogeneous catalysis, energy storage and conversion, drug delivery, etc. Both bottom-up (e.g. active linkages, active building blocks, in-situ loading, etc.) and post-functionalization approaches (e.g. covalent modification, metalation, etc.) were utilized for the introduction of active sites.
