Short Biography:

Xue-Ming Zhang obtained his B.S. degree in Veterinary Medicine from Changchun University of Agriculture & Animal Science (1991-1996). He obtained a M.S. degree in Basic Veterinary Medicine from the same university in the laboratory of Prof. Li Dexue(1996-1999). Subsequently, he worked there as a teaching assistant for two years and then a lecturer until Aug 2004 the university merged into Jilin University. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2005 again working with Prof. Li Dexue (2001-2005). In 2006, he established his laboratory in College of Veterinary Medicine at Jilin University as an associated professor. During 2008-2009, he worked asa visiting postdoctoral fellowshipmentored by Prof. Francis G. Szelein neurogenesis at University of Oxford.After coming back, he was employed as a professor in Animal Histology & Embryology at Jilin University from 2012 to now.
