Abstract : The power balance equation in structure subsystems was demonstrated. Basic assumptions of semi-infinite fluid method were introduced. The prediction model of car exterior noise was built by using statistical energy analysis (SEA) and semi-infinite fluid method. Using finite element method, steady-state energy flow method and theoretical computation, the modal densities, damping loss factors and coupling loss factors of the subsystems of car SEA model were acquired.
